Summary
The word transcend meaning to go above and beyond, surpassing the limits, was the chosen word to represent the VCAD graduation show for Fall 2016. To properly execute the meaning behind the word, space was chosen as the desired backdrop for this scene, further, a galaxy formed into the shape of an eye was chosen as a sort of bounding box for the the lettering. The custom lettering was inspired by crop circle formations which are known for the sheer amount of intricacies and proportions that make up these phenomenons of nature. I harmony these design choices encompass the meaning behind transcend, giving this inspiring visual direction its appeal.
